Inflation is on the rise again in Switzerland. The national consumer price index rose by 0.2 percent in June compared to May.
Year-on-year, inflation now stands at 0.1 percent—up after a brief dip in May. According to the Federal Statistical Office, the increase is mainly due to higher prices in the hotel sector and for foreign package holidays.
But the rate is still well under the Swiss National Bank’s target of 2%.
