Business owners in the centre of Lausanne are sounding the alarm over conditions around the drug consumption room at Place de la Riponne.
Around 30 shopkeepers, bar and restaurant owners have sent an open letter to the mayor, calling for urgent action.
They say insecurity, vandalism and open drug use are driving away customers and staff.
The supervised injection site, which serves over a hundred people a day, was meant to provide a safe space for users, but local businesses say the area has become chaotic and unsafe.
They’re demanding more security and cleaning staff to restore order in the neighborhood.
