Level 4 Heat Alert

The federal government has issued a level 4 heat alert for the Lake Geneva region and canton Ticino. The rest of the country is one step lower – at level 3.

The heat alerts are in place for all areas below 800 meters.
Geneva was one of the hottest places in the country yesterday with highs reaching 36.2 during the afternoon. 

The alerts apply for today and tomorrow.

The advice is to make sure you stay hydrated and refrain from physical exertion.
