A major accident caused traffic chaos on the A1 autoroute between Nyon and Gland yesterday.
A truck carrying rubbish for recycling overturned spreading debris across the road.
The autoroute was closed from about 9.30am for most of the day. Traffic heading towards Lausanne was forced off at Nyon.
The truck driver was slightly injured – no one else was hurt.
