Major operation to open suspicious case

Police in Glarus launched a major operation after a briefcase was left abandoned on the street for several hours.

Roads were closed and traffic diverted as a robot brought in from Zurich was used to open the suspicious case. 

In all around 30 officers were involved – as well as fire crews and paramedics. 

The case was found to be empty. 

Police now want to track down its owner.
