A man brought a building site to a standstill after he climbed a crane and refused to come down.
The site and surrounding streets in Oerlikon in Zurich were closed off – including the normally busy train station.
He held the emergency services at bay for more than 12 hours. He also set several fires on the crane, destroying the cab as well as other equipment.
Zurich police say he’s a 34-year-old who lives in the city.
Mediators tried to reach the man with a fire engine ladder – but it wasn’t tall enough.
Police eventually managed to persuade the man to come down.
He’s now in medical care and hasn’t been questioned yet.
