Geneva police are investigating a robbery in Les Eaux-Vives where a shop keeper was shot in the leg in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Witnesses say the kiosk on the rue de Montchoisy was targeted by several individuals and they heard a shot and then a woman screaming.
The shop owner’s son was taken to hospital - the screaming was his mother.
His injuries are not life threatening, according to the family.
Local traders told the press that they believe the area needs a larger police presence as petty crime is on the rise.
