Around 300 people marched in Fribourg yesterday in response to the death of a mother and her baby on Saturday.
The two were stabbed to death in their apartment. Her husband was found nearby slightly injured.
Police say the man has confessed. They believe he tried to kill himself.
The rally was called by the Feminist Strike Collective. It’s demanding more action to fight sexist and domestic violence. It points out this is the 19th femicide in Switzerland this year – and the second in canton Fribourg.
In April this year a man visited his wife at her workplace, shot her and then himself.
Protestors say they want more funding to end domestic violence.
