A wayward cat is being blamed for a car crash which is going to cost tens of thousands of francs.
A 36-year-old woman was driving her Maserati in Niederuzwil in canton Sankt Gallen when she told police a cat ran across the road. She swerved to avoid it and crashed the supercar into a bus stop.
The car was wedged hard and it needed fire crews to remove it.
The driver, passenger – and cat – were unharmed.
