Controversial Geneva politician is under fire again for his style of management.
Those working for Pierre Maudet complain of a poor working climate and an authoritarian managerial style. Some staff have taken sick leave and others requested a transfer from his department.
Maudet told the press that he’s been elected to make difficult decisions which are not always popular.
Maudet’s behaviour has been questioned in previous administrations. The head of the Socialist Party, Thomas Wenger, says he feels they’re reliving past experiences.
It is possible the Council of State could remove some of Maudet’s responsibilities or even force a popular vote on whether he can stay in his position.
