Micromobility is becoming increasingly important in Switzerland. That’s according to a new study by by the insurer AXA.
Micromobility includes bicycles, e-bikes, skateboards, e-scooters and other light electric vehicles.
The classic bicycle remains the most popular, with 38 percent of Swiss residents using one regularly.
But e-bikes are catching up fast, already used by 28 percent of adults.
The study highlights that e-bikes are widely seen as a real alternative to cars, not only in cities but also in rural areas.
Half of the population can imagine switching to e-bikes in the next five years.
