In a highly unusual move, the retail giant Migros has taken a position on an upcoming referendum.
It’s the first time in years the company has been open about a political decision.
It says voters should agree to the autoroute widening. It says it’s the only way it can ensure deliveries to its stores.
While its currently unfashionable for companies to get involved with politics – that hasn’t always been the case.
For Migros, it could be due to the new head of communications being a former newspaper editor for the Blick and the Aargauer Zeitung, Christian Dorer.
