The Geneva minimum wage will be raised from the 1st January next year.
The increase, which is linked to inflation, will be small – a rise of just 16 centimes an hour at CHF 24.48 an hour.
The agricultural sector has a lower legal rate, but that will also go up, slightly.
The Geneva minimum wage was brought in following a vote in 2020 – and is one of the highest in the world.
It doesn’t apply to those under 18, apprentices or summer jobs.
