Cantonal wildlife experts in Geneva say they’ve destroyed more Asian hornet nests than ever before so far this year.
The invasive species attacks bees.
30 nests have been removed this year, last year there were none and in 2021, four.
The hornet was first spotted in the region in 2020 in neighbouring France.
The public are being asked to contact authorities if they spot a hornet.
