More Old Town traffic controls

There’ll be more restrictions on traffic in Geneva’s Old Town, starting next week.

There are already several retractable bollards designed to limit cars and delivery times.

But the city plans to strengthen the limits, tighten the times allowed for deliveries and install more bollards.

There is also a longer-term plan to close the rue de la Rotisserie to traffic – it currently handles nearly 4,000 cars a day.

Councillor, Frédérique Perler, from the Green Party, says there have been numerous complaints from residents about the traffic in the Old Town.
