Air traffic remained high at Geneva Airport last year, with nearly 18 million passengers passing through. It’s a slight increase on 2024, despite fewer flights overall.
Aircraft movements fell by just over one percent, a trend the airport attributes to larger planes and higher load factors, with seat occupancy exceeding 76 percent.
Passenger numbers are now close to pre-pandemic levels.
Night flights dropped sharply, down nearly 25 percent, ahead of new deterrent fees.
Freight traffic also reached its second-highest level ever, while the airport expanded to 149 direct destinations, including a new route to Shanghai.
