Geneva public transport carried more passengers last year than ever before.
222 million took the bus or the tram last year, compared to 216 million the year before.
The main reason is the extension of the tram network.
The extension for line 15 to Plan-les-Ouates was one of the main reasons for the rise.
The most popular line is number 14 running between Meyin and Bernex. 30 million take that route alone.
Unsurprisingly, the busiest stop is Cornavin.
More people are using the night services. 100,000 took a bus between 1 and 4am. That’s a rise of more than 20%.
