There’s a push to speed up the electrification of taxis in Geneva.
The party, the Geneva Citizens Movement, has tabled a bill which would give financial incentives to drivers to change their car for an electric one.
Under the plan, the purchase of a new electric car will be subsidized by CHF 12,000 for the next two years and then the aid will drop 10% a year,
The bill also calls for the installation of charging points at all taxi ranks in the canton.
