There is hope a new structure being set up in neighbouring France will help sort out the region’s transport issues.
A new body called ‘Genevois français Mobilités’ will be focused on all aspect of the transport system, from trams to cycle paths and even school buses.
Its ultimate aim is to reduce reliance on cars. Currently 15 new cars hit the roads in the bordering French region every day and 6,000 new residents arrive every year.
