Parliament has agreed to boost Switzerland’s cyber defence capabilities.
While the move is clearly timely with current events, parliament simply gave the go ahead to plans laid out by the government months earlier.
The army will have a dedicated cyber defence arm which will have nearly 600 working for it over the next four years.
The new unit will oversee cyber defence, cryptology and electronic warfare. It will be running by 2024.
