New Geneva profession

A new profession has taken root in Geneva: park wardens.

Four have been recruited with the task to look after city's green spaces.

Wearing distinctive green and yellow uniforms, the wardens patrol on foot or by bicycle, aiming to raise awareness about park protection and discourage antisocial behaviour.

Their presence extends across public areas including barbecue zones, dog parks, and paddling pools.

Working in teams of two or four, they’ll also help out during public events.
