Plans for a CHF 100m development in canton Valais have been unveiled.
It will change the face of the hamlet of Obergoms at the base of the Furka Pass in the Upper Valais.
The project is the brain-child of the tech entrepreneur Jean Claude Bregy.
It will involve a new village of 200 inhabitants, a wellness complex, fitness area and a park with artificial lakes.
It’s estimated there will be 100,000 overnight stays a year, doubling the amount available now.
The local commune is backing the project and, as it owns the land involved, permission is seen as automatic.
More details will be revealed in January 2025.
