The new Route des Nations will be open towards the end of next month.
After more than 6 years of work, the new tunnel running from the A1 autoroute near the airport to the international organisations at Nations in Geneva, will start to allow traffic around Sunday 24th March.
The new road is 1.2 kilometres long, most of which is underground.
It will cut traffic around Grand-Saconnex, something which has been long awaited by residents.
The new bus line, the 61 – the express service from Gex, use the new route.
