Now the problem is too much snow

It wasn't that long ago many ski resorts were thinking the season would be a write off as there was no snow.

Now the reverse is true - many are closed because there’s too much snow, but we’re now in the holiday period when the slopes would have been busy.

Those who have booked in advance are frustrated - they’ve paid for the pass, is there a way to get your money back?

That depends on the resort.

The Glacier 3000 allows passes to be used another day if the slopes are closed - if the whole booked holiday is cancelled, the money will be refunded.

In Saas-Free - the passes are covered by insurance - and so refunds are possible. But that’s not the case for others.

The situation changes depending on the resort. Some offer passes which have the option of insurance - if that was bought, then refunds are possible.

But for many others - if the slopes are closed, the money is lost.
