Maintenance work will close the Gotthard tunnel for a total of ten nights over the next two months.
While passenger cars will be able to use the pass, trucks will be forced to park up for the night.
The closures will last from 8pm to 5 am – although it will be closed to heavy vehicles a bit earlier.
The canton Uri building department says the first closures will be from Monday.

Heavy traffic this Easter
