Part-time job shortage

Switzerland is running out of part time jobs.

The pandemic has triggered a massive demand for jobs which will also allow people more free time. 

While one of the major reasons are people looking for extra income if their normal job has ended due to lockdowns – there is also a significant number who have been reassessing their lives. 

According to recruiter Jobchannel – more couples are looking to share home and work responsibilities, which means more part-time working demand. 

 But there are not more part time jobs available. In January 2018, nearly 14% of advertised jobs were part time, last month that was up only 3% at 17%. 

There aren’t enough to go around.
