A pharmacy in Zurich has apologised after a potentially dangerous dosing error involving a four-month-old baby.
The infant was prescribed preventative antibiotics, but the label said the dose should be seven millilitres twice a day.
But the parents were suspicious of the high dose and talked to a doctor.
A paediatrician later confirmed the correct dose should have been just point-nine millilitres.
The baby, weighing six-and-a-half kilos, could have received nearly seven times the recommended amount.
The error was traced to a decimal miscalculation. The parents are urging others to double-check prescriptions if in doubt.
