Geneva police is admitting there’s another police issue machine gun missing.
Last weekend, a café in Paquis was shot up by a 19-year-old who’d stolen the weapon from a patrol car. He’s been arrested and the gun recovered.
But police now admit, at the time two Sig Sauer MPX submachine guns were taken – together with ammunition. The second is still on the streets.
Internal investigations are ongoing. A police spokesman says the rules state that when automatic weapons are being transported, they should be secured within the vehicle and unloaded.
