A study by the University of Geneva is suggesting there’s a link between Covid infections and air pollution.
Researchers say it’s possible fine particles in the air are vectors for the virus and the effect of pollution itself can weaken the immune system.
Leading the study, Professor Antoine Flahault, adds the recent Sahara sand that covered Europe in recent weeks could have helped the spread.
Authorities have not officially linked pollution or the sand with increased infections.
