Parliament has approved a new right to debt erasure for the chronically indebted.
Under the reform, people in long-term over-indebtedness will be able to clear all their debts at once, after a three-year procedure and subject to strict conditions.
The goal is to break the spiral that traps thousands in compounding debt.
Campaigners are calling it a major step forward for people who have lived for years with no realistic path back to solvency. The detailed rollout still has to be set.
