Possible serial sex attacker caught

Have police in canton Solothurn arrested a serial violent sexual offender?

Officers will hope so as a trial starts today in Olten.

A man identified only as Kevin D is on trial for attacking and seriously injuring a 14-year-old girl who was jogging in a local park in 2020. He was brandishing a Japanese combat knife.

He is already in jail after partially admitting to the offence.

But prosecutors say he’s responsible for a series of other sexual assaults – including four attempted rapes.

These charges will be presented during the trial.
