Potentially dangerous tyre recalled

The tyre company Continental is recalling a type that’s been widely sold in Switzerland. They say there’s a risk of a sudden deflation caused by a fault.

It effects the tyres sold under the name of ContiEcoContact 5 which fits many passenger cars. 

The tyres will be replaced free of charge.  

The Federal Roads Office says anyone affected should contact their tyre dealer or garage. 

Details: ContiEcoContact 5” passenger car tires in the size 235/55 R 17 103 H XL.
