Several hundred people – mainly women - demonstrated outside the Federal Palace in Bern yesterday following the vote which equalized the retirement age between men and woman at 65.
The protestors say the vote doesn’t take into account the social differences that women tend to encounter.
Many expressed their frustration at the difference between the language regions. The French speaking part of the country voted against the change – but it was carried by the more populous German speaking areas.
