Meteorologists are warning we shouldn’t get too complacent about the weather this weekend. Over the last few days, heavy storms have hit the country – leading to floods and high winds.
Although the weather will seem to have stabilized this weekend, there’s still a chance of afternoon and evening storms.
But if anyone is thinking of taking a dip in a lake or river over the next few days, watch out for cold shock. The Swiss rescue Society says it’s likely many bodies of water will be colder than you may expect due to the recent storms - and rivers will be faster flowing for the next couple of days.
MeteoNews forecaster, Frédéric Glassey, told the Tribune de Genève there could be more storms and be careful of areas where the water could rise quickly, especially mountain gorges.
