The government is reassuring people a rise in the retirement age is off the table – for the moment at least.
The federal councillor, Elisabeth Baume-Schnieder has been putting forward plans for reform of the pension structure.

She’s considering a mix of higher worker contributions and VAT rises.
But she says her main aim is to make it attractive for people to keep working beyond the current retirement age of 65.
