SBB inspector marks ticket with 'hamas'

The Swiss Federal Railways, SBB, is under fire after a photo circulated online showing a train ticket printed with the word “Hamas” instead of the passenger’s name.

The passenger is a Palestinian asylum seeker.

Outraged users flooded social media, calling the incident racist and demanding immediate consequences and a public apology.

In response, SBB says it regrets the incident and has launched an internal investigation.

The company points to its Code of Conduct, which requires all employees to act with fairness and respect and strictly prohibits any form of discrimination toward customers or colleagues.
