We’re heading into our first major heatwave of the summer.
Temperatures will climb towards 30 by Wednesday before reaching between 32 and 36 degrees across much of the country from Thursday through Monday.
The hottest conditions are expected in Valais, the Geneva region, Basel and parts of the Aare Valley.
Apart from isolated mountain thunderstorms, the weather will remain largely dry and sunny.
Forecasters also warn of tropical nights this weekend, with temperatures staying above 20 degrees overnight and possible heat alerts being issued.
