Many websites in the country are still down as Russian backed hackers continue to attack some government sites.
The National Center for Cyber Security has come under attack itself and says the intensity of the attack is particularly high. But it offers reassurance that data security is not threatened.
It’s thought the attack is due the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is planning to address the Swiss parliament today via video link.
The main websites affected are the official sites of Canton Basel-City, Geneva Tourist Office, the cities of Lausanne, Montreux and Bellinzona.
The Geneva and Zurich airport sites are also under attack.
