Geneva’s State Council has slightly eased rules on cross-border students, allowing children already in primary school to stay until the end of elementary education.
Around 188 pupils will benefit.
However, restrictions remain in place for older students, who won’t be allowed to enter secondary schools in Geneva.
Geneva courts have already backed the decision by the canton to ban cross-border students, while an appeal was expected to the federal court - nothing has yet been filed.
