Shoppers in Kriens in canton Lucerne had a shock when they came across a large snake on the sidewalk.
A python - a metre and a half long - had escaped its tank and managed to make it to the street.
The snake is not venomous, and wasn’t a risk to passers-by.
It was captured by specialists and the owner was found. They’re likely to face animal welfare questions.
