A new solar power station in Geneva was officially opened yesterday by the cantonal buildings minister Serge Dal Busco.
The new TPG depot in Vernier has 5,000 square meters of solar panels on its roof, generating enough power to keep 300 homes going – although this electricity will be used by the public transport company.
Dal Busco says the new installation shows the cantonal commitment to sustainable mobility.
The TPG is committed to using the solar power for the next 25 years.
