A driver has been sent to prison for two years after hitting speeds of up 157 kph on the Pont Butin – he was not in a position to deny it as the videos had been posted onto his own Instagram account.
He was caught after he later crashed his car in the Vaud countryside. He abandoned the wreck. But it made identifying him easy.
The court also heard he had convictions for drug dealing and had recently been released from jail after a drugs charge.
In court the 25-year-old asked for help. His defence lawyer says he lacked parental control when younger and has been using drugs since a young age. Judges ordered a psychiatric assessment.
