Switzerland has escaped the worst effects of storm Boris which has wreaked havoc in Central and Eastern Europe.
The latest information says 8 have died and many more are missing as torrential rain triggered devastating floods.
The worst hit areas were Romania and Austria.
The storm cut power, stopped transport and washed away roads.
The fringes of the storm caused heavy snow and rain in Switzerland at the end of last week.
