Hundreds reported strange lights in the sky last night. A string of lights was photographed right across the central parts of the country.
But the reality was bland – it was a series of 52 small satellites that make up Elon Musk’s Starlink internet service.
They were launched yesterday from Cape Canaveral on a Falcon 9 rocket owned by Space X. It was the 40th launch this year so far.
There are over 4,000 satellites in orbit already and the service has around 1.5 m subscribers.
