Stricter rules on entering Switzerland come into force today.

Anyone who can’t provide a Covid pass will have to show a negative test result and then take a further test after 4 days – with the result having to be sent to the relevant cantonal office. 

Those who don’t do the follow-up test will face CHF 200 fines. 

All travellers will have to fill out a passenger locator form before arriving. 

But the government has made it clear the requirements won’t be needed by those living in border areas so cross border workers or shoppers will not have to fill in extra pieces of paper.
