The assisted suicide group Exit is causing a stir after taking out advertising on trams.
The simple panel says - in German – Exit. Accompanied with the heart. Then there is a holder with cards which people can take if they want more information.
Exit says the posters are not an advertising campaign - but more of an information campaign.
Either way, the group did pay for the space.
The posters will be put up in trams in Bern, Basel and Zurich over the next two weeks.
A spokesman for the Bernmobil transport system says it is the first time the group has advertised – but the message is protected under freedom of expression laws.
