Geneva police responded to a suspicious package delivered to a building on the Rue de la Corraterie in the centre of the city yesterday morning.
Police are exploring if there’s a link with the recent spate of bombs targeting the watch firm Patek Philippe.
Two brothers have now been charged with extortion and blackmail after explosive devices were detonated outside homes in St Jean and Grange Canal last year.
The package was delivered to a building which houses a trust company that has Patek Philippe as a client.
Investigations are now being handled by federal prosecutors – which is automatic in any incident involving explosives.
