The ‘Swift Effect’ is gripping Zurich.
Taylor Swift will be playing two nights, on July 9th and 10th, at the Letzigrund Stadium.
Already hotel rooms and youth hostels are fully booked – many have been for months.
Private renters are cashing in – but they may be breaking the law. Renters can sublet their premises, but they cannot make a profit. A room is being advertised for CHF 1,390 – but a spokesman for the Zurich tenants’ association says it should be around CHF 50. If the building owner finds out, they would be able to claim the excess, says the spokesman.
