Swiss nationals should leave Donbas.

The foreign ministry has updated its advice to citizens resident in Ukraine. It’s now advising those who live in the disputed Dombas region to leave.

Armed clashes in the area, including heavy shelling, is causing concern.

Last week, the ministry was advising citizens not to travel to Ukraine - but fell short of suggesting those resident to leave.

Switzerland is calling for all sides to recommit to a ceasefire and says it’s ready to support constructive dialogue.

Swiss International Airlines is suspending services to Ukraine from today for at least a week.

The embassy in the capital Kyiv is open – but the ministry says some of its services may have to be reduced if the situation deteriorates.
