The best category was the mountain bike. Switzerland secured one gold, two silvers and one bronze.
In tennis, one gold and a silver, shooting one gold and a bronze.
There were also medals in cycling, beach volleyball, BMX freestyle and swimming.
Switzerland ended 24th in the international ranking, a result seen as highly respectable for a small country.
The top three countries were the United States, China and Japan.
